New Members

For those wishing to try the sport of pistol shooting for the first time, look no further.

The Wagga Wagga City Pistol Club is an established club with experienced members and excellent facilities. It was founded in 1966 and since then has grown to become one of the senior national clubs, playing host to both state and national competitions.

The club offers members the option to compete in all five ISSF (Olympic style) matches, Service Pistol and Black Powder. (See Matches for more details). Matches of every type are programmed at least once per month and range space is available for members to shoot unscheduled events or practice components of their shooting to improve skill.

New members are welcome to come along to the club (located here) for Saturday afternoon meets. These are held almost every Saturday at 1:30pm (check the Calendar for details). This is a great opportunity to see what the sport can offer you, to talk to experienced shooters and even to have a shot yourself under the supervision of one of our many experienced members.

For more information regarding the process of trying pistol shooting, joining the club and obtaining a pistol licence, please read the 'New Member P650 H - Licence Procedure' document, which can be found on the Forms page.

The clubs membership application forms can also be downloaded from the Forms page.

Please note: Firearms ownership is subject to certain conditions. As such, all licence applicants will be subject to a National Criminal History Record Check performed by the AFP.
